LeatherDesign was founded in 2014 by master leatherworker Isabelle Fournier, who honed her craft in Europe before returning to Toronto to build a homegrown atelier. Over the past decade, we’ve grown from a studio of three to a team of fifteen skilled artisans and designers, all dedicated to elevating leatherwork. Our facility on Queen Street East houses cutting-edge tooling alongside traditional hand-stitching benches, giving us the flexibility to produce both small bespoke orders and larger collections. We partner with Ontario-based tanneries that practice sustainable hide sourcing and vegetable-tanning methods, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility. Every product is quality-checked by our founder herself, ensuring it meets the exacting standards that define the LeatherDesign name.
